In 2025 students and teachers from seven professional art schools met for the first time at the Purvītis Museum. During an educational outdoor workshop, they created large-format paintings on the theme “Landscape.” This spring, visitors to the Purvītis Museum could enjoy an open-air exhibition in the Vecjauži meadows and explore the works of 28 young artists.

Meanwhile, the Ziedonis Museum invited students to write epiphanies—short reflections and flashes of thought in the form that Ziedonis himself had created. There were doubts: would the digital generation write? The answer surprised everyone—300 epiphanies were sent in from every corner of Latvia, from both boys and girls. A jury selected the 22 most “Ziedonis-like”: the most probing, whimsical, thought-provoking.
